DR. SHINDE
Dentist / Clinical Director
Dr. Shinde was born in Brantford, Ontario and shortly thereafter moved to Stratford, where he was raised. He attended Western University, where he received his Honors Bachelor of Science in Physiology, Masters of Science in Epidemiology and his Doctor of Dental Surgery.
Throughout his time in dentistry, Dr. Shinde has continued his passion for education by gaining knowledge in many aspects of dentistry, some of which include: Invisalign, CEREC Crowns (one appointment crowns),Implantology, Cosmetic dentistry and laser therapy. He is committed to learning through continuing education.
While living in Stratford, Dr. Shinde gained an appreciation for the culture of theatre and arts, which he continues to enjoy when not working. He also plays many sports in his spare time, such as hockey, basketball and volleyball.
DR. GRACE YOO
DENTIST
Dr. Yoo received her Honours Bachelor of Life Sciences at the University of Toronto prior to completing her Bachelor of Dentistry at the University of Sydney. She left her hospital associateship in Queensland to return home to Toronto. Dr. Yoo’s experience includes private and public practice as well as a special interest in geriatric dentistry.
Grace has been warmly welcomed to Balsam Dental since joining in 2015 and has enjoyed providing comprehensive care in all facets of dentistry. Outside of work, her interests include staying active outdoors, spending time with family and travelling.
DR. MONICA BAHOSHY
DENTIST
Dr. Bahoshy received her Bachelors of Science in Pharmacology from McGill University prior to completing her Doctor of Dental Surgery at New York University. She completed her General Practice Residency and gained experience in private practice in New York prior to moving back to Toronto to be closer to family.
Dr. Bahoshy places an importance on creating a comfortable and safe environment for each and every patient while providing comprehensive care.
While she is not working, Dr. Bahoshy enjoys travelling with friends and family, trying new restaurants, and catching up on her latest Netflix show.

Alicia says that Balsam Dental is the most welcoming dental office she has ever worked at. It’s easy to see how much she loves what she does. Interacting with people coming into the office is her favourite part of her job. Seeing patients achieve a beautiful smile, a healthy smile, is the most rewarding part of her job.
Alicia lives here in Toronto with her boyfriend, with the rest of her family nearby. Outside of the office she might be shopping for the perfect present for someone, or relaxing to some R&B music.

Her personal experiences are why dental has become so incredibly important to her; she knows how hard it can be, but also how incredibly rewarding it can be.
“Dental is profound. It’s more than filling cavities and scraping tartar off teeth. It completely impacts how people feel about themselves. Even a molar, at the back of your mouth, that no one can see, can make someone feel bad about themselves. In my mind, if we can change that, and change the experience in the dental clinic, we can bring much healing and joy to the world.”
