CEREC stands for Ceramic Reconstruction and is a sophisticated system for designing and fabricating high-quality, metal-free dental restorations in a single patient visit.
HOW IT WORKS
3D Photography Meets CAD/CAM
CEREC utilizes 3D photography and CAD/CAM technology to assist dentists in designing virtual restorations. The machine takes digital impressions for restorations (no more gagging on impression materials) and makes precise restorations that look excellent, fit perfectly, and last a long time, all out of biocompatible, metal-free materials and all in very little time. A typical crown appointment lasts less than 2 hours, and you don't need to return for a follow-up visit; it's all done in one appointment.
Single-Visit Restorations
Inlays, onlays, crowns, bridges, and veneers can be designed, milled, and placed in one appointment. No temporary restoration and no return visit.
Digital Impressions
The system takes digital impressions instead of goopy putty, which is more comfortable and easier for patients who struggle with gag reflex.
Metal-Free & Biocompatible
CEREC restorations are made from biocompatible, metal-free ceramic. A natural-looking, durable choice that matches the colour of your other teeth.
Under 2 Hours
A typical crown appointment lasts less than 2 hours from start to finish. Walk in with a damaged tooth in the morning, walk out with a permanent crown that same day.
